One Rocks! | 1st Birthday Photography | Brentwood, CA

It was an absolutely blast to photograph this little cutie pie’s rock-n-roll themed 1st birthday party! His mama and dad worked hard to get every, little detail just perfect, right down to the fun food labels and the fruit mohawk (it’s amazing). At first, Axel wasn’t 100% convinced about digging into his birthday cake, but by the end, he had it down like a champ! What a fun day, surrounded by friends and family!

Spring Break = Road Trip! | Family Vacation Photography | Monterey and Big Sur

I absolutely love how much there is to explore around here! I’m pretty sure that it’s no secret that I’m a little consumed with California’s beautiful coastline, so when there is an opportunity to get out and do a little road tripping, I rarely hesitate. This time it was for spring break, and we took a few days to check out Monterey, Big Sur, and Santa Cruz.

We packed a lot of fun into three short days, starting with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, where we decided to go ahead and get a family membership. Best investment, ever! We’ve been back once, so far, and it’s already paid for itself.  It was the boys’ first time visiting this aquarium, but all three kiddos had a blast.

I Hope You Dance | Children’s Portrait Photography | Brentwood, CA

My baby girl is heading to middle school next year. I’m still struggling with the idea. Haha. Where on earth have the years gone? I am so proud of the young woman she is becoming, while still holding on to that wonderful, childlike, curiosity. Her love of dolls and My Little Pony is quickly giving way to memorizing, and singing along with, every song that comes on her radio. And don’t get me started on the list of boys she’s confided to me that she thinks are “cute.”

I’m not ready.

I know what trials and tribulations middle school can bring. The heartbreak. The joy. The independence. She is unapologetically unique. I just hope that she will continue to handle it with all the grace and love and kind-heartedness the she has been blessed with.

#BoobahPutARingOnIt | Engagement Party Photography | San Francisco, CA

I don’t always photograph other photographer’s engagement parties, but when I do, it’s for the fabulous Chloe (of Chloe Jackman Photography) and her equally fab husband-to-be, Mike.

I’m not going to lie, I was a bit nervous, seeing as how Chloe is one of the first photographers whose work I found, and really loved, after moving to CA. However, the party was such a blast, I didn’t have a hot second to think about it! Their friends did such an amazing job of putting all the decor and desserts together, and La Taza Cafe in the Mission District was a wonderful venue!

She is Love | Engagement Photography | Yosemite National Park

It took us three tries to get this engagement session photographed, but now…I couldn’t imagine it any other way! Before this, I had never been to Yosemite, so I jumped at the chance to photograph an engagement session there. It may have been snowing, but Lacey and Alyssa were so awesome about it, and we got some amazing shots.

I can’t wait to photography their wedding in a little less than a month!

Little Lovey Mini Sessions! | San Francisco Bay Area | Children’s Photographer

“Real isn’t how you are made,’ said the Skin Horse. ‘It’s a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.”

-The Velveteen Rabbit

Meet Fluffybear and Rufus. They get a lot of snuggle time in our house. I have no doubt that, someday, they will become Velveteen Rabbit real. I’ve got a real bear, too. There’s nothing like the comfort of a favorite stuffed animal or blanket. And while your child may grow up and leave things like stuffies behind, this is a perfect way to preserve their connection to something so special and loved.

#gettinhitched #andtacos | Tony & Jen | San Francisco City Hall Elopement

I’m always super excited to be asked to photograph a wedding, but it’s even more meaningful when a friend asks me to capture their big day.

Jen is a brilliant lady, and absolutely hysterical. Due to this being a destination wedding for her and Tony, we did all of our communication via Facebook Messenger. Our conversations ranged from planning, to nerves, tacos, and so much more. I hadn’t met Tony yet, but when I did, I could see why they complement each other so nicely.

The other awesome part about this wedding was, my dad was the one to perform the ceremony! He and my mum flew out specifically for the event. It was such a special day, and I know that Jen and Tony will cherish it, and each other, for years to come.

French Family | Crissy Field | San Francisco Family Photography

This beautiful was referred to me by another photographer, and I was happy to have them in front of my camera. From the smallest family member to the furriest, they were all smiles on this foggy December day in San Francisco.

It was my first photo session at the stunning Crissy Field, and I can’t wait to do more! What a view, right?

A Wonderful Christmastime | Holiday Keepsake Session | Brentwood, CA Family Photography

For my second Holiday Keepsake Session, I got to photograph this awesome family! This session was even more special, since it’s the baby’s first Christmas. How exciting!

As they decorated their tree, the boys were so excited to show me all the different ornaments and explain why they are so special. I also got introduced to Mr. Buttonralph, the Elf on the Shelf. We took a break from decorating to spend some time outside (thank you, California weather). Then, we wrapped it all up with…hot chocolate!
